Valentines Day was on Monday 14th February and we all celebrated in our own romantic ways.
During the day we went to the Museum of Sex http://www.museumofsex.com/ It was indeed fun and was a cheeky non-typical way to spend Valentines Day, however the experience was not the best value for money - cost per person $22. Notable absences from the exhibition were Hugh Hefner, his Playboy Bunnies & Larry Flynt.
As the sun set, our couples & singles headed their separate ways. French tartines for some, bowling & white russians for others & a $900 bar bill between 4 people (wtf?) followed by making new friends at what will now forever be known as the Shark Bar. Shhhh we don't kiss & tell.
Service was at City Hall
Followed by cake & champagne at Prince Street Cafe
Followed by pre-drinks at the Bowery Hotel, where the bride & groom later spent their wedding night.
Then onto dinner at Pipa Tapas Bar http://www.pipa-nyc.com/
Check out the gorgeous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. For a cool $5000, you could take home one of these babies home with you.
And finally finished up wth post-dinner drinks at the Flatiron Lounge.
Speaking of love in New York. Our lothario of a neighbour across the hall is a combination of Romeo, Don Juan, Cassanova, Pepe le Pew & Charlie Sheen. His sexy parties made up of mostly spanish, eastern european & other model type women are notorious. Kate is being woken nightly by the late night hijinks. Karma some might say????
